WHAT IS A CAPSULE?
Capsule shell is made of pharmaceutical gelatin after fine treatment and auxiliary materials for holding solid powder, particles of the hollow egg shell. Capsule shells have good bioavailability and can dissolve quickly, reliably and safely.
Capsules usually have hard capsules and soft capsules. Hard capsule, also known as hollow capsule, consists of two parts of the cap body; Soft capsule is film forming material and content processing products at the same time.
Hard capsules according to raw materials, capsules generally include:
Gelatin capsules
Gelatin capsules are the most popular two-section capsules in the world.
The capsule consists of two precision-machined capsules. Capsule sizes are various, including 000#, 00#, 0#--5#= capsules. The capsule can also be colored lettering, presenting a unique custom appearance.
The capsule portion has a tapered edge, allowing for smooth encapsulation of the capsule on a high-speed filling machine. The double locking ring system allows the capsules to be pre-closed before filling and fully locked together after filling. The capsule design also includes air vents to avoid unnecessary air pressure inside the capsule that could cause rebound during high-speed filling.
Plant capsule or HPMC capsule
Plant capsules are hollow capsules made of plant cellulose or water-soluble polysaccharide as raw materials, such as Forefront Vitality, to meet the needs of all-natural positioning and capsule preparation solutions. It retains all the advantages of standard hollow capsules: easy to take, effective taste and odor masking, transparent and visible contents, but also has a connotation that traditional gelatin capsules lack.
